Crew! This is the commander of the star cruiser speaking from the command center. The planets of the system need us to ensure free trade and keep pirates at bay. If we work hard, our fame will spread throughout the galaxy.

Starship Captains is a strategy game.

To win, players must score the most points after 4 rounds. There are many ways to obtain the precious points: completing missions, managing interstellar diplomacy, developing technologies, collecting artifacts and medals, defeating pirates...

In Starship Captains the main mechanics are based on selecting actions, represented by rooms within the ship. After all, as a commander, you must assign the most appropriate tasks to your crew based on the needs of the moment. There are 4 different types of rooms: piloting, to move the ship; weapons, to fight against pirates; science, to acquire technology; and repairs, where any damage that our space cruiser has suffered can be fixed. On each turn you must choose one of your crew members to occupy one of these rooms... But be careful! Each one of them is specialized and knows how to handle specific devices. Although everyone (even cadets) can repair the ship, the other three rooms will require you to choose a specific crew member, who will have the same color as the room. Once used, crew members must rest and may not be available for the next shift. Plan your strategy well!
