The fate of Middle Earth is in your hands! Travel to the world of The Lord of the Rings, the epic fantasy universe created by J. R. R. Tolkien, with this version of the acclaimed strategy title War of the Ring, by Roberto Di Meglio, Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello. In War of the Ring: The Card Game, 2 to 4 players will compete in two teams, the Shadow and the Free Peoples, to decide the future of Middle-earth.

Whether leading the hosts of Sauron, marching relentlessly from Mordor, or leading the proud men, elves and dwarves, players will compete to score the maximum number of victory points. Each participant will use their own deck of cards, with characters and artifacts unique to their faction group.

The Free Peoples will fight to defend their ancestral lands and protect the paths, in the hope that Frodo will reach Mount Doom and destroy the One Ring. At the same time, the Shadow players will try to attack quickly while undermining the hobbits' trust and corrupting the ring bearer with their darkness.

Games of War of the Ring: The Card Game are played in rounds, in which each player will turn to throw cards that represent the characters, armies, objects and events of Tolkien's trilogy. At the end of each round, combat between opposing cards from the same battlefield and lane locations will be resolved. Winning battles in locations will often award more victory points, but having control of the lanes is key to determining the Fellowship's advancement.
