December 7, 1941. The Imperial Japanese Navy launches a surprise attack on the US naval base at Pearl Harbor with the aim of weakening the Allied fleet and launching a major offensive in the Pacific and Southeast Asia. A day later, the United States declares war on Japan. The Pacific theater of operations, in the middle of World War II, would witness memorable combats, such as the battles of Midway, Coral Sea or Guadalcanal, as well as many other skirmishes that would advance and retreat the front. Decisive contests that would end up tipping victory to the side of the Allies and that would mark the international politics of the second half of the 20th century in a key region of the world.

Combat Commander Pacific reproduces some of these battles that took place between 1941 and 1945 in a very complete and detailed way. The work of Chad Gensen, Combat Commander is a strategic game for 2 players, ages 14 and up, with different scenarios of varying duration, over 170 minutes. Through unique maps for each scenario, players will deploy their armies with units and equipment faithful to history. However, repeating the outcome or writing a new destiny will be in the hands of the players.

Combat Commander is a series of card-powered strategy games, based on tactical infantry actions during World War II. In this new volume of the Combat Commander range, one player takes on the role of the Japanese Empire and the other controls the Allied forces (either the United States or the Commonwealth, the colonial forces of the British Empire). Throughout the game they will alternate turns, in which they will play one or more decision cards from their hand to activate their units on the map and carry out various tasks.

To achieve victory, the two contenders must move their combat units around the map to attack their enemy's troops and try to occupy as many objectives as possible. A player's success or failure is determined by the objective tokens specific to each scenario, the destruction of enemy units, and the exit of one's own units from the map through the opponent's margin.

Combat Commander will captivate lovers of history and war conflicts, due to its thematic depth and level of detail. In addition, this edition includes the “New Guinea” expansion, with 14 scenarios and 3 double-sided maps, promising many hours of entertainment. It's up to you to repeat history or alter its course on the Pacific front of World War II.
